Organizations We Have Supported

The Ocean Foundation

The Ocean Foundation’s mission is to support, strengthen and promote those organizations dedicated to reversing the trend of destruction of ocean environments around the world.

The Ocean Foundation directly manages and promotes conservation work in the following areas:

  • Conserving Marine Habitats and Special
  • Places Protecting Species of Concern
  • Building the Capacity of the Marine Conservation
  • Community Expanding Ocean Literacy and Public Awareness

The Bay and Paul Foundations provide grants to The Ocean Foundation’s Cuba projects, showing commitment to bridging the political, cultural and biological gap between Cuba and the United States. The Ocean Foundation has been able to establish sustained collaboration between Cuba and the U.S., build capacity for Cuban marine science institutions, collect valuable marine data applicable to conservation in both countries, and – through science, including field studies in Cuba permitted by the U.S. Department of Treasury – to begin to make a case for the eventual normalization of relations between the two countries.
